Hello from Sweden! :) I'm just realizing that this is my first 'in the moment' blogging that I've done like...ever!
I woke up this morning around 6h45 to pack and catch my 10h20 flight to Stockholm via Amsterdam. And at around 16h, I finally arrived to be greeted by my lovely friend, Helen, her mom, some nice tulips, and the first snow I've seen this winter :) It's so good to see her again, and I'm super excited for this week! I haven't seen her and her family in almost 4 years after graduating from high school in Spokane.
After getting a tour of their beautiful home, we had some tea and caught up a bit, taking a trip through memory lane with the help of our high school yearbook (fun fact: that I helped make ;P). Then, we had a traditional Swedish dinner of meatballs. Definitely much better than IKEA! :D We also had some amazing Parisien macarons from apparently the best macaron shop in Paris, Ladurée, recommended to me by my friend, Mariam (Merci beaucoup!). And we also called my parents via Skype!
I can't believe we've done all that in about eight hours! It's been so much fun to catch up with such good friends, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the week!!!
Now for just a couple pictures from today :)
