Lately, it's been super stressful - waiting for exam dates to come out, trying to find an apartment in Paris, trying to figure out when I'm leaving for Paris, waiting for my visa medical appointment date to finish the process of getting my visa (from what's been explained to me...I'm kind of legally illegal) . And it all seems anchored on that one detail of waiting on the French to decide to do something. That is one thing I will definitely not miss when I'm back in the States!
and since i should be studying for exams, but am procrastinating, i'm only putting up the pictures i've edited so far... so look out for another post soon hopefully! for context, these pictures start in lyon, random events, and then end in interlaken, switzerland - my stop before going up to the swiss alps!
on to the pictures! enjoy!
if you know me, i'm a HUGEEEE starbucks fan... so my first trip to starbucks in france deserved a photo. :) |
grande white chocolate cranberry mocha - would be better if i'd gotten the courage the ask for soy instead... |
on to my cooking experiments :) |
not as good as my dad's :) |
disclaimer: packaged foods can actually be good! |
after a particularly tiring day, macarons are wonderfulll - starting with the yellow one and going clockwise: passion fruit?, coffee, lemon, caramel, chocolate, raspberry, and pistachio |

who wouldn't want to go to a sephora that looks like that?! |
my friend, olivia, and i at the france-usa thanksgiving dinner - notice the american flags in the background.. :P |
not exactly the thanksgiving dinner i'm used to..... |
but dessert made up for it ;) |

don't tell me YOU wouldn't take pictures if you saw a playground on the top of a train!!! :O |
AH i love dinos, though this one's ugly... |
after three trains, we finally arrived in interlaken at midnight! |
so pretty! i will NEVER forget seeing the outline of mountains surrounding us as our eyes adjusted to the dark! seriously amazing! |
our hostel! |
i thinkkk there's a bar/club down there... didn't bother to check it out |
balmer's herberge - apparently a really well-known and popular hostel! |
i think every signpost had to have at least ten signs on it... (my opinion..) |
this bridge connected the two towns together |
look how pretty that water is! |
catholic church on the left, protestant on the right |
i found it interesting that the hooters in seattle is all the way in tukwila while the one in interlaken is right in the middle of the city...tourist city for sure haha |
and a casino in interlaken! |
you're supposed to see that face in the mountain. easier to see it in person! :P |
paragliders landing in the middle of interlaken! - this is the place to do all your extreme sports! |
the japanese gardens - what you see is pretty much it.... (seriously) |
can you spot the paraglider? :) |
and for a sneak peek of my next round of pictures, i'll leave you with this one - taken after a 2.5 hour hike, so enjoy it ;) |
