friends

These past few days I've really been thinking about friendships and what they mean. To me, friendship is simple: unconditionally accepting people for who they are. But then we, as humans, always seem to have to complicate things. Why can't things ever be simple?

I've been told that I'm not a good friend by some people, and it makes me sad. ;( I really do try to be a good friend, and I guess if I've ever been a bad friend to anyone, I'm sorry. I guess this just means I have to try harder. But on that note, I have to say I have some of the best friends in the world, and I'm really thankful for each and every one of them. <3

  2. I've met a ton of people my freshman year at UW, but I'm particularly glad I had the pleasure of meeting you. Because the fond days of Honors Math 124 and Lander 7 bubbltea tea runs are long-gone, the majority of people I met during my freshman year have gone their separate ways, and I hardly ever keep in contact with the lot of them. However, you are one of the few who still care and say "hi" on campus. And even during those long nights in Odegaard when final exams are on the top of everyone's mind, you still take half-an-hour of your precious time to fill me in on your latest ventures. That's why you're an awesome friend, Joanna. You are one of the most passionate, caring, and genuine people I know--and that combination is a rarity.
